Which political ideology do you most identify with?
If you could ensure that a particular public service remained independent from corporate influence,…
The integrity of police and investigative bodies is paramount to maintaining public trust and ensuring justice is served fairly, without bias or external pressure. When corporations have sway over law enforcement, there's a risk that they could use this power to shield themselves from accountability or to target competitors, which goes against free market principles. The rule of law must stand above private interests, preserving the foundation of our republic and the rights of individuals. Moreover, allowing corporate influence in public services could lead to a slippery slope where more and more sectors become compromised, undermining democracy itself. We must safeguard the impartiality of our law enforcement to ensure that all, regardless of status or wealth, are equal before the law. This is why I would fiercely advocate for legislation that prevents any form of corporate meddling in our justice system. Only then can we truly say that our society is just and our markets free.
