PPP Loans for people that were FORCED to close their businesses by the government VS Student Loans which people took out voluntarily.

 @UnstoppableTr3atyLibertarian from Texas commented…3wks3W

Student loans were a program the government had no business taking over. It has not lasted even close to one decade.

 @GrizzledGorillaSocialistfrom Washington commented…3wks3W

Here come the defenders who say:

"But that's different because Congress voted to make PPP loans forgivable and then gave themselves millions of free taxpayer money."

Americans who spend their time defending those who do nothing but take from the people to give to the elites, to the wealthy, and to corporations while attacking anyone who tries to help every day working Americans will never make sense to me.

I think you mean, “Here come defenders pointing out that this is a bad faith argument comparing two different loans.” But then you’d have to argue in good faith.

 @RepublicDonnySocialist from Pennsylvania disagreed…3wks3W

So in your good faith argument are you pointing out the student loan forgiveness programs that are law which have existed for decades?

Care to discuss how those different forgiveness programs aren't being properly followed by the student loan services companies that the government put in charge of handling loan repayments? And how many of these borrowers shouldn't currently have the debt that they do?

Programs such as:

-Income-Driven Repayment

-Public Service Loan Forgiveness

You will of course point out how over 2 million people enrolled in the Income-Driven Repayment program should hav…  Read more

Except *these* haven’t existed for decades. They’re new. And unconstitutional.

Except *these* aren't unconstitutional.

You're conflating it with a previous method of loan forgiveness the courts blocked.

So much for good faith arguments.

 @PonieBobbyConstitution from Alabama commented…3wks3W

Can we pause and just examine that the White House is comfortable with either:

A- genuinely not knowing how a government program worked

OR

B- lying about it this hard, on easily falsified grounds

Those are the only 2 options here…

Or that you're too uneducated to understand what republicans did with PPP

The idea that paying off rich kids student debt is the same as a pandemic small business loan is mind numbingly stupid.

 @SeahorseLucyDemocratfrom Maine disagreed…3wks3W

Rich kids... lolol. Nice attempt at spin. Just accept the burn. This ppp comp represents GOP hypocrisy at its finest. Party of "law and order", let's nominate a crook who fomented J6 to represent us in the white house

 @KittenDomVeteranfrom Wisconsin disagreed…3wks3W

You must be slow.

The people who had PPP comp had to fulfill conditions with that money and did.

The people not paying their student loans are getting a bailout for failure.

 @SolidC0nstituti0nRepublican from Colorado disagreed…3wks3W

PPP stands for Paycheck Protection Program. It was implemented to pay ppl to stay home to slow the spread of a novel deadly disease so they wouldn't become homeless while the Govt dealt with it.

Going to college & taking out debt is not a life or death requirement. Good talk.

How might your personal or family financial struggles influence your opinion on the forgiveness of PPP loans versus student loans?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…3wks3W

Should public officials be held to a different standard when it comes to benefiting from financial assistance programs?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…3wks3W

Is there a moral difference between forgiving business debt and student loan debt; if so, what makes them different?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…3wks3W

How does comparing PPP loans to student debt relief challenge your views on government assistance?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…3wks3W

Do you believe it is fair for lawmakers to accept large financial relief for businesses while opposing relief for student loans?
