From $61 billion will save the day to $61 billion is not enough — in just one week. Shameless.

Just speculating, but the Ukraine aid is likely (in part) a cover for American military modernization in order to keep up with China.

I imagine all that money headed to Lockheed, etc. isn’t all being used to re-fabricate 1970’s technologies.

I would be curious to know how much goes to building newer gear that America is keeping in its stockpiles. If this is the case, the investment will continue under other names once the war in Ukraine pauses.

It was never going to be enough.

It’s much easier to embezzle money when war is going on.

The hunger of the Military-Industrial Complex is insatiable, just as the greed of our American leaders.

The result is endless war and spending.

Money laundering doesn’t end until someone gets caught. Greed is infinite

According to Speaker Johnson, the $61 billion funding bill for Ukraine was more palatable because it was only a “loan.” But that loan doesn’t have an interest rate, maturity date, or collateral requirement. Have you ever seen a loan like that?

At a February 14, 2024 rally in South Carolina, Trump declared his support for giving $60 billion to Ukraine -- but in the form of a "loan" they don't have to repay. Speaker Johnson inserted the phony "loan" provision into the $61 billion war funding bill he just unveiled today

Even if the Ukraine War ended tomorrow, it would take over 5 years to replenish the U.S. stockpiles of artillery shells, Javelins and Stingers. But Biden sees no tradeoffs between helping Ukraine and Israel. And he wants to rattle the saber against China while he’s at it.

People seem to be under the impression that the US can magick weapons manufacturing, expertise and industrial capacity out of thin air. America can’t even build icebreakers right now.
