“I think this question has menial value. On what scale are we measuring this hypothetical First Lady? Is the "best" First Lady the most influential, the most attractive, the most articulate, the most accomplished, etc? Unless s/he is a politician, the spouse of the president should not play a role in the selection of a presidential candidate. However, female role models who are intelligent, articulate, and accomplished are important for all US children. And the media should represent more diversity of women, rather than emphasizing a particular type of personality, career, or physical appearance as the ideal standard. However, this does not mean a politician's spouse indicates his/her value as a presidential candidate.”
