“In a manner of speaking, yes. I strongly believe that cannabis has many documented and as yet unexplored positive uses in many medical matters including lowering anxiety in the terminally ill, and pain management. I believe that it would be a wise thing, despite the protests of the Alcohol commission and various lobbying groups to Federally regulate, package, and tax marijuana in a similar way as tobacco and Alcohol are regulated (with limited state latitude on how on how the Federal Mandate is configured). I believe this would greatly begin to improve the American Economy so long as the taxes from THC are specifically NOT earmarked for military funding. It should be used to improve our public school systems, our collapsing infrastructure, and give general assistance to our citizens in need. Methamphetamine and Synthetically produced "party" drugs should be highly regulated by a well-trained wing of law enforcement and punishment geared more toward education and rehabilitation rather than crowding further our already over-burdened prison system.”
