The government should not have a role preventing a person who make this decision, other than to ensure that those involved (other than the patient) do not have other motivations. Nonetheless, an person who chooses to die in peace without the pain or indignity from a debilitating illness should not have interference from government. This is again an argument that stems predominately from a specific religion that wants to interfere with all American's personal lives.”
