Yes, total campaign spending should be capped, corporate donations should be limited and public knowledge, total donation amounts for individuals over certain amounts should be public knowledge, and all donation information should be in a standardized form, easily accessible to constituents at all time during the campaign, and for a time following the campaign that is no less than the maximum combined term lengths for the position.

 @9WQYBX2 from Florida  answered…12mos12MO

Ban all donations unless they are split equally to running people. They would only get that money once have to use it to run everything.

 @ScoopesoDemocrat  from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, however, I believe the current laws address that issue and nothing necessarily needs to change.

 @9D65QQ4Socialist from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, much like a 401k vs a, "super," 401k super PACs should be subject to contribution. Limits should curated at different price levels for citizens and organizations.

 @9YBHLFZ from Florida  answered…11mos11MO

Candidates should not receive money from donors, especially if that donor is a company rather than an individual

 @9MW35WN from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

No, but only from private individuals. Continue to restrict how much unions and corporations donate.

 @9K99V29  from Florida  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but the current limits should be higher so that the limit only really applies to uber-wealthy lobbyists

 @9FPQYY7 from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

It is free speech, but also we should definitely know from who and where it’s going.

 @9FPFGQ5 from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

So long they’re not trying to get an “in” with the candidate they should be allowed. No buying votes.

 @9D4R2MD from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

No, but just as corporations, Super PACs, and other impersonal organizations do not have the right to vote, they should not have the right to influence elections through large-scale donations either.

 @9CMN924 from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

No. There is seemingly no shortage of money the government has so we need all we can get to put a solid president in power.

 @93HRXV4Libertarian from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

On the "individual level" no but organizations such as corporations and unions should not be allowed to donate anything. Neither is a person in that sense

 @96BJXQ7 from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

 @954SVSR from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

no, as long as their is a record of it and record of what it was used for/ used properly

 @9469VH7 from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

Maybe. But there needs to be complete transparency with all donations (both to the candidate and PACS).

 @93MTNYY from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, all political donations should be banned and those that run campaigns must pay for it from their own wealth.

 @93LQN2Z from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

No, as long as all donations (including non-monetary) are public knowledge

 @93L925W from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

Eliminate donations. Make the battle ground a fair and equitable fight that is determined by a candidates policies and character, not the funds raised.

 @92HQ4RQIndependent from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

Campaign spending should be set at a top limit for every position to prevent the wealthy from monopolizing power because of money. PACs should be illegal, as well as accepting donations from outside the state. The current system fosters wrong allegiances. Campaign funding should come from private donors, but with funding limits raised.

 @8Z63X62 from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8Z63X62 from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

No, it doesn’t matter. Limitations of funding would still be a rigged process.

 @8YWD8TW from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but corporations, special interests groups, and their owners/members should be banned from making political donations, with all donations being public knowledge.

only if the donor is donating to the candidate to receive a later benefit

 @8V9JHRY from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8TGW6N8Independent from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, both parties are against these limitations. Unfortunately, the names of super pacs can hide the identities of wealthy or foreign donners.

 @8QFMTMN from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, donating to a political candidate should be illegal; all campaigns should be funded by a public program so every candidate has an equal amount of funding regardless of their class.

 @8QFGC5W from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but make all donations to politicians and/or their campaign public

 @8Q7877NIndependent from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

There should be a limit on corporate donations, but not on someone's personal contributions.

 @8Q73YBG from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

If the donor is a corporation who wants the politician to push their agenda, yes.

 @8Q6JXM5Independent from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

There should be limits on what corporations/businesses can give, but a person should be able to donate as much of their personal income as they desire.

 @8PG2ZHK from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

All donations should go into a common funed that is evenly split between all canadetes.

 @8P77KZV from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

Donations should come specifically from individuals and by any amount an individual chooses to donate. Businesses, organizations or other groups should not be allowed to donate to a political campaign.

 @8NV5GGJIndependent from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8MS3ZQN from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

no so long as all donations are subject to public and cirminal oversight because it is an expression of free speach.

 @8KTY65KIndependent from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

All candidates should be allotted a certain amount of money for campaigning, no donor funding

 @8KQW7LZ from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes! It should be within reasonable amount and I think all donations should be public knowledge and transparent to ensure that no special interest groups are trying to leverage their own agendas

 @96VZXG6Democrat from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, including from Super PACs and donation amounts and recipients should be disclosed within a set time of the donation.

 @95FFNWN from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8ZY88SS from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

No foreign funds at all! And contributions should be held at $100,000.00 maximum individual or corporation. Pac's and other fund-raising groups should be checked for misconduct.

 @8M94PFW from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

 @9C8YDNN from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

It depends on the situation. If it’s communism no. Freedom of speech doesn’t include the freedom for them to brainwash our citizens to vote our freedoms away.

 @8V5LJ97 from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, politicians should not be bought by wealthy donors and it must be public knowledge.

 @8NXN4K6Libertarian from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

No, if donors want to provide an amount to a candidate - that is of their own free will and there is nothing wrong with that.
