Decrease. I'm not against the military in general, but I think we could divert some of the spending on it to more important issues at home.

It should be enough so that your soldiers aren't starving and so they stay. you should only spend if you need it.
@9XTW75QIndependent11mos11MO
I feel like the spending should be increased if we are on the edge of war with another country, but other than that, it should decrease a bit so we can have money for other issues.

The amount in military spending is high, but is also needed. But some of that money should go to other things to better the economy
@9VR2QVQ11mos11MO
the government should keep spending the same money on the military, but should treat their soldiers better as a result.
@9V9HZYF12mos12MO
They should be required to pass an audit and have all funds accounted for and change they way the government spends money.

Decrease so long as the US is able to encourage other NATO members to invest further in their military.
@9S66RQ41yr1Y
The Department of Dense should maintain a standard of budget towards the Armed Forces/Defense, but shift some of the excess budget towards other programs, notably NASA, to advance other scientific endeavours, and most notably, living conditions for the members of the armed services.
Decrease, especially with the current multi-year streak of the Pentagon failing their audits without consequences.
@9LXVSDD1yr1Y
Military spending should only be used for national defense and relief efforts. The spending on war to increase share holder compensation should be illegal not only in our country but around the world. People lives shouldn’t be gamble with like poker chips
Stop funding the military-industrial complex, combat profiteering, and raise base pay for lower-enlisted service members.
@9KJ222R2yrs2Y
Decrease, but only once current conflicts are mostly resolved and we can afford (metaphorically and literally) to do so.
@6MR65NZProgressive 2yrs2Y
Decrease, and place restrictions and conditions on selling U.S.-made weapons and equipment to other countries
@9GKVKNBIndependent2yrs2Y
The military budget should be dramatically decreased and the money taken away should be used to fund public schools, healthcare, and transportation.
@9GHFKHT 2yrs2Y
If we were directly involved with wartime yes, but I think it should be focused more on other spendings or even more towards the Intelligence Agencies.
@9FDCWCM2yrs2Y
Decrease the budget of guns and keep everything else the same
@9FBWY6Q2yrs2Y
Decrease to nothing and abolish the military.
Yes decrease dramatically please.

@9HDN9FHLibertarian2yrs2Y
The U.S. get bashed for how much it spends on the military, and how other nations can give their people better lives but these countries are also protected by the U.S. and the United States has no country to protect itself in case we decided to focus on other projects other than the military.
