do you know the difference between clips and magazines?

how about M1 Garands, do you really need 8 rounds of .30-06? do you plan on missing a lot or are you just storming Utah beach? maybe Remington Model 70s? most Model 70s have scopes fitted, thats like a sniper rifle, what do you need a sniper rifle for? how about large bore guns, like shotguns? slow soft projectiles like lead slugs, are much more deadly in many cases than hard fast projectiles, not only are you shooting something, but you want to cause as much pain and damage as possible? In fact, .50 caliber round shot out of a rifled muzzle loader would be extremely devastating to any soft target, like an animal or person, who needs that kind of firepower when the second amendment was only written in recognition of our sovereign right to plink with .22LR single shot rifles?

Dude I love this comment but we have a right to own guns no matter how ridiculous it may seem.

Hopefully we don't much longer

Why would you want to get rid of a fundamental right that gives you the right to protect your loved ones and in worst case scenario government tyranny. I think its a dumb idea to give up a right that has historically proven to be the first step in tyranny.

You do realize that back then if the government owned cannons and muskets so did the people. Hell the people had more firepower than the government. Private trade companies made warships in order to protect trade to other nations. So if you want to go with the back in 1776 argument we should own machine guns at the very least.
