We should do as much as possible for people who were willing to die for this country. Whatever will help them more.

 @B6NLCBJ from California  answered…2mos2MO

More to help release the deficit, but also put a lot of regulations and restrictions on it to make it where veterans can get the best of the best that they can get and they have to actually help them and all that and not screw them over

 @B6HVXXN from California  answered…2mos2MO

More but not a very much amount and how there should be oversight and regulations to help stop corruption all that and how try to find the best doctors for these veterans and how they will sacrifice a lot of money to find the best for these heroes

 @B6HS8DGRepublican from California  answered…2mos2MO

I feel like we should fix the system to make it. Weather could be private and national of a sharing of both and to make the veterans have the best doctor they can have.

 @B4SK4YGProgressive from California  answered…6mos6MO

The VA is necessary because the healthcare professionals are trained on the specific needs faced by veteran patient populations including mental health such as PTSD and suicidal ideation as well as combat related injuries including chemical warfare exposure. Patients should allowed to seek and use other health services, but it does not have to come from the VA budget

 @B3VGV2T  from California  answered…7mos7MO

The debate around privatizing veterans healthcare is complex, with arguments for and against increased reliance on the private sector. While some suggest that private care can offer efficiency and access, others argue that the VA's integrated system provides better, coordinated care for veterans with complex needs.
Arguments for More Privatization:
Increased Access and Choice:
Some argue that expanding private sector options would give veterans more choices and potentially shorter wait times for certain specialized treatments, particularly in areas where VA facilities are limited.

I support funding the current system to expand access to veterans to seek treatment with a doctor of their choice

 @9799PDBConstitution  from California  answered…12mos12MO

Veterans, government employees, politicians, everyone should have the same healthcare options and we should subsidize premiums for injured Veterans, maybe all veterans.

 @9WCRL7Y from California  answered…12mos12MO

i feel like if they need it for medical reasons its okay but if just becuase they want to be ¨perfect¨ no

 @9VWCV6F from California  answered…12mos12MO

there should be competition between private and non private healthcare for veterans to increase quality while also lowering prices

 @9TWKMXJ from California  answered…1yr1Y

This problem exists because of a bunch of more simple problems. I say just solve the source problems rather than doing spaghetti legislation.

 @9TT2B3G from California  answered…1yr1Y

when a veteran lives too far from va provided care, access to local care should be made available or if the wait times are too long at the local clinic or provider and the VA system should be improved

 @9RQGJH5 from California  answered…1yr1Y

More, but staffing should be better regulated to ensure vets are having the highest quality treatment. Limit the negative impacts of patient care as a result of unions and walls to removing employees.

 @9RHL3RD from California  answered…1yr1Y

I think the VA needs to be expanded so that veterans in remote and other rural areas do not have to suffer the burden of long drives in order to receive care. I have seen cases where a hospital denies medical care to veterans in the ER, where an administrator basically screams at a veteran demanding who was going to pay for the care--the VA would have, of course, but no person in a medical emergency should have to tolerate this behavior before getting care because it is at its core an attempt to deny care.

 @9R8D5SX from California  answered…1yr1Y

No change in level of privatization, but veterans should be able to elect into an HSA option should they choose to not utilize VA options or if insufficient VA options are available

 @9PR9TZR from California  answered…1yr1Y

More, veterans should be able to see a doctor who is an expert and taking care of veterans, especially if the veterans have ptsd so they can see early cases of prevention of self-removal.

 @9LC5YX4 from California  answered…2yrs2Y

Our veterans should get anything they need from the USA. So sad that illegal immigrants get more than our veterans. Just horrible!

 @9GWQ4BH from California  answered…2yrs2Y

It doesn't matter, as long as they are getting the healthcare that they need at an affordabe price-it should be their choice to use public or private healthcare

 @9GDPH42Green from California  answered…2yrs2Y

We should provide universal healthcare for everyone with an increased emphasis on mental health care, especially for the veterans.

 @9FMFCTJ from California  answered…2yrs2Y

The VA system should be revamped and expanded. All doctors should be required to take veterans' insurances.

 @9F9YHG7Green from California  answered…2yrs2Y

Less, veterans need psychological support as well as more healthcare security as right now psychological issues are not protected

More, veterans should be given vouchers proportional to their injuries and should be able to see any doctor of their choice.

 @8ZN4DPX from California  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8YM8CPN from California  answered…4yrs4Y

Private options should be available, and the extent to which veterans' healthcare grows privatized depends on the performance of the open market; however, the VA should have more funding

 @8XZ3JLM from California  answered…4yrs4Y

some privatization that veterans should have a choice with improvement to the current systems

 @8XVMTK7 from California  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8XPJ5PT from California  answered…4yrs4Y

V.A. benefits should apply to all health providers, at a set rate. the veterans' earned this.

 @8VHH8R2 from California  answered…4yrs4Y

Should be irrelevant. Healthcare should be completely run by government

 @8VCGPQWConstitution from California  answered…4yrs4Y

Veteran served our country and should therefore receiving the best healthcare available provide by our government.

 @8TN86FPProgressive from California  answered…4yrs4Y
