The more we depend on fossil fuels, the more harm we will bring to the environment compared to other safer and cleaner energy sources.

Because if we don't preserve and help nourish the Earth, we won't have an earth to live on. We won't be able to live. Will die if we kill this Earth. So I say we should help aid this earth while we're going up in technology. We should be bringing nature with us in giving back to nature

Alternative energy sources as they currently exist are not plentiful nor self sufficient enough to sustain such a vast economy as we live under.

There's a lot of new inventions being made like water powered, solar powered and lots of other eco-friendly options being developed to help this issue.

Humans have one predator that will hunt them readily for food, the Polar Bear. If we continue to damage the Alaskan Wilderness and increase global temperature fluctuations, the Polar Bear will start to lose its home and its hunting grounds. Which would push them south to find food. South is where the people live. The Polar Bear thinks people are food...

The drilling would cause permanent damage to the coastal plain of the Arctic Refuge, tons of wilderness values would be lost.

Fossil fuels generally cause a lot of environmental problems, and to keep rather pristine places like that how they are as best as possible. I don't have data or statistics and need time to form a good argument.

Alaska is the last true frontier, and rural land is becoming far more scarce every day, so it is vital that we protect what we have left for future generations, climate, land, and history of our nation.

Offering more money as an incentive for clean energy will increase the research for efficient clean energy. If we can find one that works and reduces or possibly eliminates our reliance on fossil fuels, then we can significantly reduce the damage being done to our planet so we can continue living on it.
