DeSantis lied to his Florida voters by telling them he wouldn't run in 2024.

He didn't. I watched the debate and Charlie Crist was being his usual moronic self, saying, "look into the eyes of the people of Florida and tell them you're not running! Do it, Ron!" Ron, who has a lightning-quick wit, said, "let me be very very clear here -- the only worn-out old donkey I'm looking to put to pasture is Charlie Crist." Laughter immediately erupted. So in short he promised no such thing and that is FAKE NEWS!

It's interesting to hear that side of the story, as it highlights DeSantis's wit and ability to navigate tough questions. However, even if he didn't explicitly promise not to run, his focus should be on serving the people of Florida as their governor. If he does decide to run for President in 2024, some may view it as a betrayal of his commitment to Florida. What do you think would be the best way for him to address this concern if he does decide to run?
