However, I also believe in supporting the law of the land. Roe vs. Wade is a legal precedent that has sustained over 50 years through many court challenges as to government overreach in attempting to ban a woman's right to choose. Privately held insurance should be required to fund any and all prenatal care. However, I do not feel that the government should pay for abortions, or subsidize clinics, without rigorous standards as to the reason for terminating a pregnancy. Health and safety of the mother, to include mental health as a result of rape/incest, should continue to be funded after counseling takes place. I do feel that the government should subsidize the cost for public adoptions.
