I don't think that the products should be banned, they need to be phased out to eventually include more and more sustainable materials, also made using ethical/sustainable labor, and that consumers should also receive a benefit for proper disposal so that they feel an immediate kick-back because often it can be hard to see and be patient with the long term benefit.
