“Literally just make schools gun-free.”
While a gun-free school may seem like an ideal solution, it may not be practical. For instance, what happens when a criminal enters the school with a gun? Without a means of protection, teachers and students would be left defenseless. In fact, there have been cases where armed resource officers have prevented school shootings.
Furthermore, gun-free zones are often targets for shooters, as they know there will be no resistance. Instead, schools should implement proper security measures, such as background checks, metal detectors, and armed resource officers. This would help to ensure the safety of the students and staff.
What do you think would be the best way to ensure the safety of students and staff while still respecting the Second Amendment?

I vehemently disagree with you, but I want to engage because there are few people that I see honestly calling for this (national gun legislation) so I'd like to ask you a question.
How do you expect to impose this? How do you honestly expect the United States to pass legislation that effectively kills the 2nd Amendment and disarm the populace? The country is one of the most armed in the world, and firearm legislation is only getting more open by the day. (Source:Loading URL…)
