Several members of the crowded 2024 Republican presidential field will descend on Iowa for a gathering of social conservatives on Friday, July 14. The FAMiLY Leadership Summit will give GOP prospects the chance to talk up their candidacies about seven months before the 2024 first-in-the-nation voting Iowa caucuses.
The Des Moines event, which will last from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center, consists of former Fox News host Tucker Carlson interviewing the Republican hopefuls. Confirmed interview subjects include Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who was also U.S. ambassador to the United Nations for nearly two years in former President Donald Trump’s administration.

This is a GREAT decision. No need for Trump to be there. We know where Trump stands and his vision for Agenda 47. Trump doesn’t need to prove anything. Let those newcomers show what they are made of. People who are hating on Trump don’t have a life and want to see drama tv.

So true as a Iowan I know our job is to SET THE TABLE. Putting the real issues out there for candidates to get a quorum together to solve them. Legislation,executive e.o.,and judicial. Getting those who know how to speak up and become focused on the jobs that need to be done.

It would be nice to hear from DeSantis, where he will elaborate on his proposals and policies. It's actually a blessing that Trump isn't going to the event since he would inevitably destroy it with his grievances and pettiness.
