Only seven weeks into his 2024 campaign for the White House, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is looking into a possible media strategy reset, according to sources.
DeSantis' early struggles to catch Trump have led some of the Florida governor's big-money donors to privately question DeSantis' viability as a presidential candidate while Trump is still in the field, multiple sources told ABC News. Some donors have privately discussed holding their money until 2028, or until Trump is no longer a part of the presidential picture, sources said.
Hedge fund billionaire Ken Griffin, who early on had signaled plans to throw his support behind DeSantis' White House run, has in particular grown increasingly frustrated with how the Florida governor's early campaign has played out after hoping the governor would be the best bet to take on Trump in the primary, sources familiar with Griffin's thinking told ABC News.

If Griffin is having second thoughts about backing DeSantis as is being rumored, is that a bad thing?
You may recall, Trumpers originally attacked DeSantis for having Griffin's backing because he was a renowned globalist. Perhaps Griffin thought DeSantis could be controlled and now realizes he can't and is balking? We've seen this from other major donors who found DeSantis to be "too conservative."
Of course, all of this is hearsay so who knows what Griffin's motives are or if this is happening at all. Regardless, DeSantis' backing is broad and not reliant upon one man.

A narrative is being created that his campaign isn't politically agile, nor receptive to constructive criticism even from ardent supporters. It feels like an orthodox, cautious, and, frankly, "regular" big-money Republican campaign. We need new guerilla warfare tactics and fast!

DeSantis has been in this race for 7 weeks.
Anyone who thought he would simply steamroll the quasi-incumbent of the party was lying to themselves.
DeSantis is building a monster ground game and Scott Presler is sounding the alarm on Trump's lack of one.
Tells you everything.

Ken Griffin in a trillion years would never talk to anyone about his political thoughts. He’s extremely discreet. The story isn’t true. It’s simply an educated guess passed off as sources.
In any event, he likely is surveying the field; he didn’t pledge fealty to RDS.

Here we go. All the political savvy prognosticators giving their 2 cents. Bill oh he does is that the end of the world.? Where is he going to go? Trump. Does his money make or break a campaign?
@FilibusterCoyote11mos11MO
The Murdochs are souring on DeSantis as well. The big money donor are besides themselves because they thought they had backed a horse that could take down Trump. Is it too late for a new horse? Could a Romney make a play?

LOL!! And who will Griffin back Trump who we all know stands no chance in the General! This is all by design! Again same crap about trying to get Ron to quit because Trump has no money and is in serious legal trouble!
