The timeline you suggest may not accommodate for situations where a woman doesn't realize she's pregnant until later on, which can be common. For instance, many women with irregular menstrual cycles might not notice they've missed a period until much later. Additionally, the health of a relationship can be difficult to assess and may change rapidly, creating potential loopholes. Also, wouldn't basing the law on the presence of a father figure pose a risk of reinforcing societal biases?
