Team Trump wining and dining with a number of top reporters at a steakhouse called “Rare” — and passing out pudding snack packs (a swipe at RON DeSANTIS’ “pudding fingers” story) as well as debate bingo cards to troll the Florida governor. Squares included: “dismisses polls,” “wipes snot,” “red ears,” “Dee-Santis,” “Duh-Santis,” “flip flops on Social Security… again,” “woke” and “pudding mention.
Who was there: Reporters Dana Bash, Shane Goldmacher, Kristen Welker, Bob Costa, Fin Gomez, Dasha Burns, Rachel Scott, Rick Klein, Josh Dawsey, Rob Crilly, Mario Parker and David Chalian along with Chris LaCivita, Jason Miller and Steven Cheung. And across the restaurant, feet away: members of Team DeSantis.

Remember: They want Trump.
@T4riffPenelope9mos9MO
They (all of them) are very afraid of RDS!
@CrummyRavenRepublican9mos9MO
Which is stupid...he seems to not be as good of a candidate as I thought he'd be, as indicated by his lowering poll numbers.
But doing stuff like this just gives him more attention and ammunition to help his campaign. We'll see if he can harness it to his advantage.
@OriginalV0t1ngRepublican9mos9MO
Or maybe the guy who won Fla by 19% is a threat, the numbers aren’t quite what they seem to be with paid for polls and maybe they r partially attributed to having the most negative ads against him and both the left and right media against him
@ElectoralElianaRepublican9mos9MO
Definitely moves by a campaign that's very comfortable with their massive lead and not worried at all about RDS.
@Equ4lityMadelineLibertarian9mos9MO
Yeah this is so weird. These people are cheering for Trump's arrests and he's crying about them daily on Truth Social.
Both sides act like the other is an existential threat to America, and yet they're having a dinner to talk about Ron DeSantis?
