The 14th amendment could not be any clearer. Children born of foreigners are not US citizens. "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof" is crucial. Foreigners are subject to their home countries full jurisdiction, not ours. The author, Senator Howard, even said foreigners are excluded.

Regardless, deportation will wreck that entire families future, and should be the absolute last resort for criminals. Citizenship means so much to immigrants, don’t yank that out of their hands because they’re desperate. Put them through the process, but decrease the incentives for illegal immigration. Desperation is understandable, but encouraging it isn’t.

maybe this is a dumb question, but I've heard Americans born abroad still consider themselves to be Americans because both parents are American, but is that really true since they weren't born on u.s. soil? That's a question that's always made me go hmmm!

It’s refreshing to see white supremacy and racism so nakedly displayed. So who gets the boot? The Irish, the Italians, the Germans, the Scandinavians? Not the Mexicans. They were here before any white people
