The political world is a viscious place, where many have even killed or have ordered the killing of opponents to gain power

Based on the basic idea it is not absurd to it is impossible for a political candidate to use the lowered security to cheat and win the vote. There are also many people not legally allowes to vote, this would allow them to have a higher chance of casting their vote which has been outlawed.
