The city was facing a crime epidemic until new policing strategies were implemented, including a greater police presence in high crime areas. This led to a significant drop in crime rates. If the police can't prevent all crime, how can we effectively reduce it and ensure public safety? Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

The most significant root cause of crime is poverty, which we solve not through further incarceration, but by improving the material conditions of the public as a whole. Guaranteeing quality food, shelter, healthcare, education, transportation, and all the other basic human needs for a fulfilling and healthy life in the modern world would do infinitely more to prevent crime than any amount of violent police presence can.
