You do understand that Palestine has been under brutal colonial attack by the Israeli state for decades now, right? The Gaza Strip, one of the most densely populated places on earth and home to over 2 million Palestinians, has been under Israeli apartheid long before the recent attacks, and has long been considered an "open-air prison" by the global community. The Israeli state has been systematically murdering Palestinians for years now, in one of the worst genocides of this century, yet Western media will only talk about the recent Israeli tragedy. That is why people are supporting Palestine in their efforts to gain freedom against the violent occupation of the Israeli colonial state. If you've only just recently kept up with Israel v Palestine, then you've missed a lot...

I am strongly in support of the Israeli government in response to the senseless terrorist attack by Gaza, and witnessing other people on my side of the political aisle celebrate Israeli casualties for the sake of "decolonization" makes me sick to my stomach. Any area under Palestinian authority is riddled with human rights violations, and watching those on the left defend an antisemitic, homophobic, transphobic, and racist TERRORIST ORGANIZATION that would, in many cases, throw them off rooftops for their sexual proclivities disgusts and embarrasses me as a leftist.
