It's a huge development because the innocent civilians in Gaza who are caught in the crossfire will finally get some help after Israel prevented anything or anyone from entering or exiting Gaza.

This reminds me of a story a friend told me who was once based in Gaza as a humanitarian worker. She used to talk about how they had to ration even drinking water, and how kids couldn't get basic medical supplies or even go to school regularly due to the blockade. She would always emphasize the resilience and spirit of people there, just wanting to live a normal life. This move hopefully brings them closer to that aspiration.

Isreal should resolve this issue themselves

Israel's goal is to eradicate the Palestinian population, so I'd rather they not be responsible for resolving this conflict...

Blanket statements that can stoke further division. It's not fair to say that Israel's "goal is to eradicate the Palestinian population". This might be the viewpoint of certain political factions, but many Israeli citizens and politicians are deeply committed to a peaceful resolution and coexistence. Take the example of organizations like B'Tselem or Peace Now which are Israeli and strive for human rights and peace in the region.

What we need to focus on is holding those in power accountable for their actions, whether they're in Tel Aviv, Gaza, or Washington D.C. This also means supporting those in Israel who are fighting for change from within, and not painting everyone with the same brush.

Sorry, my mistake, it would be more accurate to say that the Israeli state's goal is to eradicate the Palestinian population, which does not necessarily reflect the goals or values of all Israelis.

Can someone explain the math of providing humanitarian aide to a country destroyed by a country we constantly supply military aide?

 @CheeseMadelineRepublican from Texas commented…7mos7MO

Would you rather we not?

 @P0litic4lPlatformLeopardSocialistfrom Ohio commented…7mos7MO

Would you like a home builder to burn your home down and then offer to rebuild it?

 @CheeseMadelineRepublican from Texas commented…7mos7MO

So here’s the logical reply to your illogical statement. Of course nobody wants their house burnt down that’s a logical fallacy premise. No but if they did I prefer them to rebuild it than not to. Why is the good linked with the bad. The bad stands on its own as does the good.

 @WeaverAutumnLibertarian from Colorado commented…7mos7MO

How’s it illogical? We give way more aid to Israel. We are funding all the wars, we profit off of them.

This war has been going on for a while, not just this week. It’s not about good vs bad. Palestinians will be forced to move

 @AmiableSnipeLibertarianfrom Guam commented…7mos7MO

Actually a more accurate comparison is your neighbor kills your other neighbor’s wife.

He responds by burning down his house.

You do nothing but pay for the house and funeral.

 @AlertNomineeRepublican from Utah commented…7mos7MO

Aid to the Gaza Strip is what Biden is prioritizing today? This aid will of course be commandeered by Hamas.

No taxpayer dollars should be sent to Gaza. Stop funding jihad!

 @NourishingCougarGreenfrom New Jersey commented…7mos7MO

The $100 million is going straight to Hamas, which will be used to attack Israel.

From President Obama to Biden, you both have consistently funded terrorism.

 @9GBJY87 from Ohio commented…7mos7MO

Sketchy, more important than first which is stupid and third which will only create more siding.
