Small groups of members should not be able to hold power over the majority. Speakers should be willing and able to go across the aisle for votes if their party is not completely on board. Small schisms should not hold up legislation for days on end.

The current Republican Party is incapable of governing, and we need both parties since we have a two party system. They have no policy, no goals, no hopes and dreams for the country, and all they are capable of doing now is histrionic displays of contempt and anger. We need them to put the country ahead of their petty grievances. I fear for the future.
