Should the federal government pay for tuition at four-year colleges and universities?
No, but provide more scholarship opportunities for low-income students
There was a time in the US where collage was reasonably affordable; however various factors like state funding cuts and rising administrative costs led to student debt rising through the roof. Paying for tuition for four year universities will help make up for the slashes in funding.
It should be common sense, we are the only progressed nation in the world that does not have free schooling up to college levels, it should be the opposite and be able to have those resources.
