Yes, I admit it's wrong, and America's history is horrible, but that was the way things were back then. Other countries functioned in many of the same ways, and the world was different then. That was 200 years of history, but we are in a time where people are equal in the face of law, in the eye of liberty. People harbor ill will towards each other because the topic of racism is continually brought to the surface, and even Morgan Freeman has said there's no need to talk about racism if you want to end it.

Not talking about racism won't end systemic racism; in fact, those in power absolutely would love for everyone to stop talking about it so that it can continue unacknowledged.
