If you still want to be able to walk around at night or go to a park with your kids in the summer without worrying wether or not you will get robbed, raped, or killed then you will keep the police so that they can keep our peace and safety open for us to use.

Police don't help with that, and the police even do that themselves sometimes. If we want to alleviate crime then we need robust systems of public services and social safety nets, not police...
