Chinese leader Xi Jinping promised the reunification of Taiwan with mainland China during his year-end address on Sunday.
Tensions between China and Taiwan remain high, and Taiwanese voters are set to participate in the island's elections on Jan. 13. Xi has repeatedly affirmed China's stance that Taiwan is a part of China and that it must be reunified, by force if necessary.
"All Chinese on both sides of the Taiwan Strait should be bound by a common sense of purpose and share in the glory of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation," Xi said in Sunday's address.

We must continue arming Taiwan up to defend itself.
Taiwan and Ukraine are entirely different. If China takes Taiwan, it has a direct path to Hawaii. Japan and Australia have mediocre navies so the best option is to continue arming up Taiwan and preparing for the worst.

We should not give any funds to any foreign nations or wars, especially at a time when millions of illegal aliens are pouring across our border and we're saddled with debt and endless deficit spending. it's not our job to get involved in foreign wars unless the homeland is directly attacked. 100b for Zelensky means the average American family of 4 has paid $1500 for the Ukraine war, families of six have paid over $2000.
