The city of Seattle has agreed to pay $10 million to settle a lawsuit from a group of demonstrators injured by police during the 2020 uprising in protest of George Floyd’s murder.
The lawsuit, filed in King County Superior Court nearly three years ago, had cost the city millions of dollars in defense and expert witness fees, according to the Seattle law firm of Stritmatter Kessler Koehler Moore, which represented the protesters.
Among the 50 plaintiffs were a woman who had a heart attack when she was struck in the chest by an SPD blast ball, a man who was hospitalized in a coma after his arrest and a veteran who uses a cane and was “gassed and tackled because he didn’t retreat fast enough,” according to the attorneys.

This is nothing but laundering taxpayer money to pay for state-sponsored protests.
Citizens forced to patronize damage and destruction of their own communities.
@MinorityGeldingConstitution4mos4MO
Actually, the people whose property was damaged are paying those who did the damage through their taxes. So they not only get nothing, they're losing more
@9CJ6CB64mos4MO
Not necessarily, taxes can come from a LOT of places, don’t immediately saddle that assumed responsibly onto a niche group.

The moral of this unfortunate story is "crime pays". Is this the equivalent of Hitler's brownshirts? Is this how the Biden regime will be compensating the thugs moving their agenda forward using, shall we say, less-than-ethical means?
BLM is a marxist organization. So it’s not shocking that they want to steal from the tax payer as well.
@YearningMoose4mos4MO
Denver is paying $4.7 million to 300 BLM rioters arrested in 2020.
Philadelphia is paying them $9 million.
New York City is shelling out $13 million.
In total, $90+ million in taxpayer dollars is going to pay out BLM protestors in 20 US cities.
@CommittedRavenLibertarian4mos4MO
What are they paying for the property damage they caused?
@VisionaryUnanimousDemocrat4mos4MO
why is paying rioters when an estimated 17 million low-income children in America go without dental care each year? this represents one out of every five children, leading to risk of serious health problem? why do rioters come over children's basic health needs?
