Tucker Carlson's interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin could see the conservative pundit targeted by European Union lawmakers, current and former members of the European Parliament have told Newsweek.
Carlson visited Russia this week, and on Tuesday revealed he would "soon" be releasing an interview with the Russian leader.
Guy Verhofstadt, a former Belgian Prime Minister and current member of the European Parliament, told Newsweek.The lawmaker—who has called for the EU to explore imposing a "travel ban" on Carlson—described Carlson as "a mouthpiece" of former President Donald Trump and Putin, adding: "As Putin is a war criminal and the EU sanctions all who assist him in that effort, it seems logical that the External Action Service examine his case as well."
For what? Asking another human questions? In what world is asking a question a crime?

Apparently you didn't watch his video announcing the interview – he specifically said he was NOT doing this because he liked or appreciated Putin in ANY WAY, but because Americans deserve to hear the other side of the story and as a journalist it is his JOB to give a balanced perspective. He's also requested an interview with Zelensky, so you politically correct imperialists can stuff it.

The art of Journalism is a rare commodity nowadays. Interviewing people who don’t necessarily agree with you or your political beliefs is an important part of the job. Mature, clear thinking people understand this. Partisans don’t.

Obviously this is not out of legitimate concerns on the EU's part – obviously it's because Tucker Carlson, as a free journalist, is a threat to their power. The reason for this is simple – Tucker specified VERY CLEARLY that he does not like or admire Vladimir Putin and is only doing this to present the other side of a story Americans have only been allowed to hear Zelensky's take on. He also requested an interview with the Ukrainian Dictator, so he truly is just looking for a balanced and fresh look at this war. Watch his video announcing the interview if you're so paranoid about it – he makes all this clear as a bell.
