What do Republicans think gives them the right to regulate and control individuals or couples doctor/patient relationships and decision making? Is this not Big Government in its most nightmarish extreme? Isn't their belief in legislators' wisdom over individual choices almost communism in a puritanical essence? Just asking.

Fascism where the state and the corporations work hand in hand to control everything. Oh, and what gives them the right? The Bible. Or, at least their interpretation of it. Read the Old Testament some time. It has some good points, but, overall, it’s a nasty piece of work.

The same mindset which gives the Left the right to legislate financial support by the Govt for every “disenfranchised” ethnic group and social cause du jour.
