I think this represents opposite ends of 2 different issues. Not only is it incredibly easy for people to illegally immigrate, it's just as easy to acquire a firearm and commit violent crimes. It really shows that despite how thick the lines are on both these issues between liberals and conservatives, sticking with just one's party values can at times be hypocritical.
