I have come to believe that we have been in an information war with Russia and losing since at least 2014.

Now, half of America knows we're in this fight, the problem is the other half are fighting for the wrong side.

The danger to American democracy has never been greater.

 @NoblePupLibertarianfrom Texas disagreed…3mos3MO

You are concerned about American democracy? Because only one-half of Americans want to fight Russia? If we like American democracy, shouldn't we celebrate that other half?

 @SolemnMusselGreen from California agreed…3mos3MO

What democracy are Americans people supposed to be fighting for? Taxpayers money are being used by the elites to create chaos all over the world now the consequences of it is coming to bite us in the *** and we are blaming Russia for our failure? America need to wake up.

Parroting Russian disinformation while blaming Americans for said Russian disinformation is peak MAGA.

It started even earlier, with anti-vaxx disinfo.

Around 2000, those groups gathered steam via email and later Twitter.

The Twitter anti-vaxx groups became anti-Clinton groups around 2014-15.

I can trace the anti-vaccination behavior and later political behavior in extended family

Losing in part because Russia has a fifth column in the west. In the US, it's called the Trump/Republican Party.

Even if it wasn’t their main goal, the undermining of MSM as a reputable source of information has lead to the rise of more than one “reality” depending on what echo chamber a person is immersed in-

It’s truly bizzare to see so many ppl who refute mainstream media as being fake

 @XtraordinaryAmnestyNo Labels from Oklahoma agreed…3mos3MO

It's bizarre to see that 13% of the US still see them as credible after the years of false narratives.

 @PacifiedP0pulistGreen from Utah disagreed…3mos3MO

MSM lying has lead to them being discredited as a source of information, not Russia.

Did Russia plant the story about WMD's in Iraq?

Your "reality" is based on lies you ignorant idiot

 @EuphoricNightingaleDemocratfrom California commented…3mos3MO

The more I think about it, the more it seems the main story of the past decade has been Russian disinformation to undermine U.S. democracy.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…3mos3MO

How important is the credibility of the source when you consider the truthfulness of information?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…3mos3MO

How would you feel if you found out a major news story you believed in was actually based on false information?
