Anything that brings food and medicine in is good but look at this as a big picture: Biden is both supporting the siege of Gaza (with $$, weapons & diplomatic protection) and also trying to break the siege of Gaza. This makes no sense.
@RelievedPlatypusDemocrat3mos3MO
He is trying to help Israel defeat Hamas, which is good, and is trying to limit the amount of suffering the Gazan population has to go through in the process, which is also good. What doesn't make sense?
@TwoPartyBillTranshumanist3mos3MO
By "defeat Hamas" do you mean "ethnically cleanse the Gaza strip, killing doctors, journalists, and children"? Look at it that way and you might understand what Jeet is getting at.
The Biden Administration is between a rock and a hard place when it comes to the Israel/Palestinian conflict. Helping the Palestinian civilians while pressuring Israel to a cease fire is making the best of a bad situation.
In other words, Biden is launching some sort of US naval intervention into the Israel-controlled territory of Gaza?
@WingedParrotDemocrat3mos3MO
He's not trying to break it. He is trying to extend it by supporting the civilian population with necessary aid.
@CharismaticMackerelGreen3mos3MO
Building a port instead of clearing out the bouncy-castle rave blockade of aid makes no sense
Seems like they are purposefully embracing a solution that will take a lot of time, so they can claim to be doing something while aid continues to not get in
