The know-it-alls in the administration (and former members) need to stop blaming “anti-vaxxers” the “right wing” press and social media “disinformation” for the shocking lack of trust in the CDC, NIH, and government in general. The federal government has only itself to blame, spreading needless fear, guilt, lies and half-truths by omission, censoring the truth, slandering the truth-tellers and refusing to take responsibility for its own missteps - the CDC did a fine job of discrediting itself. The damage to the public is ongoing and incalculable. How does an organization learn if it continues to deny fact?

Those in this administration do not worry about that much they will take a page out of the Chinese playbook and come at everyone with truncheons, nailing you into your residence after they beat you back into it. That's the direction the government is heading if you have not noticed.
No one was fired, demoted or lost their pension for the covid mess they caused. Shoot, they (Birx) are making money on their books about the fiasco. It'll take a generation or more to claw back the esteem that CDC, FDA, public health, et al once enjoyed. That is being hopeful. Personally, no forgiveness or amnesia that we citizens endured, for that time period.
