Chances are Trump’s emissaries were told to raise the matter with RFK and see if he’s open to the possibility, before Trump asks directly only to be declined. He’s not going to make an offer that he now knows won’t be accepted, hence the harsher tone and rhetoric about RFK Jr being far left.

RFK Jr won’t win but imo he is by far the best choice on the ballot.
