What are your thoughts on the role of religion in political leadership?

I think religion should be completely booted. I get how religion can be important to the average individual, but when that religion gets in the way of morality or common sense, it becomes a problem. Also leadership with religion can give them a sense of more importance, which could lead to that leader feeling more important than others.

It's fascinating to see Moqtada al-Sadr navigate Iraq's political maze, especially considering his stance against both US intervention and Iranian influence. This move could really shake up the power dynamics in Iraq, potentially dialing back the sway of Iran-backed groups. It's a prime example of how individuals can leverage grassroots support to challenge established power structures, something I think is essential for any real political reform.
