Ranked choice voting frees people to vote their ideologies without the pressure of voting "strategically." It essentially removes the idea of "electability." A voter votes FOR the candidate(s) that most reflect their beliefs, not AGAINST the biggest threat to those beliefs by voting for the most electable candidate opposing the perceived threat.
