What is your stance on abortion?
Pro-life, but allow in cases of rape, incest, or danger to the mother or child
The bottom line for abortions is they're morally wrong but there are situations and circumstances I can understand why people would be upset about a ban. Rape is morally wrong and law breaking, incest is just morally wrong even if it's consensual. So in my opinion why should a woman deal with the consequences of something awful done to her. I don't like abortions but I hate when terrible things are done to women turning them into victims of a crime.

Abortion should be legal in any case of a women being pregnant. I don’t think abortion should only be legal in cases of rape. Imagine if a women got pregnant and whether or not the father left her, if she is not financially stable to care for the child then she should be able to have an abortion if she chooses to

The women should have the choice to do what they want with their body, no matter the circumstances because it is not killing a “child” if the child is under a certain amount of weeks at that point of the pregnancy it is elegilty an cell or a parasite that can not live on its own there for it shouldn’t have the right to conception of life when it it isn’t even living on its own. It take 2 people to tango not just the women and the women should not be “punished” to have the eligible child if they do not want to>

I can see where this is coming from, and I understand why one might think abortions are morally wrong, however, there are many medically necessary reasons for a woman to receive an abortion. I think that there are also non medical reasons for a woman to receive an abortion as well- for example, If a victim of rape were to get pregnant, not only could it be traumatizing for the woman to keep the baby, this woman may also not have the resources to raise the child. What if she's working two jobs? What if she's homeless? What if she's a student? The child won't be able to live a healthy unless the mother has the resources and time to provide for her child.

If a raped woman isn't allowed an abortion, they have to live with the reminder for at least the first 9 months, by which she should be spending healing from the incident, and if she chooses to keep the child rather than put it up for adoption, she will live with that reminder for the rest of her life. Allowing a woman an abortion, especially earlier on, will allow her to remove that huge reminder of her trauma while she's on the road to mental recovery.

My best counter argument would be why does this person dislike abortion? I understand where their views on rape and incest come from but what makes them dislike abortion? If it's not affecting a life that is already started and a living being what is the problem with being allowed to make your own choice on whether you should have a child or not.

Abortions are not morally wrong. Even with protection, things can still happen. While those are a large reason why abortions should not be illegal, but they're also health care. Now you wouldn't want your healthcare taken away even if it wasn't needed but could be needed someday correct? So why would we take that from people who could possibly need it.

Just because abortions are morally wrong doesn't make them truly wrong. I get in that specific situation it seems justified to get an abortion, but of course there are other scenarios that would also require one. For example, the woman's life is at stake and they need to remove the child or she could die. I feel that the freedom of choice is fine, purely on the basis if they cannot afford to have a child, or simply they do not want one, is fine to have an abortion.

In specific scenarios such as rape and incest, abortions should be legal and free of cost. When becoming a victim, not only is that individuals mindset changed, but they were passed on a responsibility of a child they did not sign up for. Abortions are not morally wrong in this situation because the fetus does not have a mind of their own yet whereas the woman who got pregnant from immoral ways, has lived through that experience and it is morally wrong to force them to have that baby.

Abortions should not be allowed if a women is just irresponsible and belives it just okay. However under the circumstances where the child cannot have a deserved life, the woman is a victim of rape or anything as such, the woman is underaged it should be allowed but not served as a option just because

In response to the rape scenario; the baby did nothing wrong. If someone is raped, that is horrible, but that child should still have a chance to come into this world and live a life. "My body my choice" yes okay, but it is not JUST "your body", it is the baby's body too and you are taking away THEIR choice. I know if I was that baby I would want to be born. Even if the mother or family doesn't want the child, the kid still has the chance of a great life in adoption- that baby could be an adopted family's dream, don't take away their baby. And if they… Read more

No, abortions are not morally wrong. They are harmless and morally benign. Human embryos are not people and killing them is perfectly fine.
