I dont believe it is the government's job to decide when or how someone decides to or decides not to have a child, end of story, abortion is Healthcare and should be treated as such

 @B9D44YZDemocrat from Texas  disagreed…6mos6MO

I disagree. I believe that women should have the right to choose what happens to their bodies. Many of the people having abortions are either 1. SA victims or 2. incest victims. Whenever I think of abortion and the debate between banning it or not, I always think of a thirteen-year-old girl who comes home and tells her parents that she has been raped. The parents take her to the doctor, and they find out that she is pregnant, and if she gives birth, she will die because she is so young. Now, imagine this was your daughter, would you let her die for the baby to be born?

Teaching people a lesson on consequences is not worth bringing a life into this world. Getting an abortion is not some simple procedure that one will never think of again, it is a consequence in itself. Having said that, I agree that we should invest more in sexual education. I personally believe the choice should always be given to the pregnant woman. The level of sacrifice the woman provides for the child will always exceed the role the man plays in conception. The woman has only one body but the man has many more chances to procreate.

It’s up to a woman to choose if she wants the child or not. The man should be able to give is opinion however if he doesn’t want the child, it up to the woman to keep it knowing she will not have the help of the man. However what ever is best for the women mentally should be their choice.

Not all pregnancies are an accidental child between 2 consenting adults. Should a child be born of rape, the mother should absolutely have the right to rid herself of that responsibility. Even if the child was not born of a sexual assault, a child is a massive financial and personal burden, and if the parents are not ready to raise a child, and if the mother is not ready to carry, they should have the right to not be forced to be pregnant and birth a child.

Engaged Abortion

I somewhat agree with this view. While abortion should not be a constant “birth control method”, if a mistake is made, a woman should have the chance to fix it if they are financially and physically able to. The government should have no say in this form of reproductive healthcare and i believe it should be strictly up to the mother. I agree that citizens should have the abilit to choose, but i also believe that it should be justifiable under all circumstances, not only under the circumstance of well being for both the mother and baby.

I believe that abortion is acceptable in every circumstance, not just in this circumstances with "ifs" or "buts."

While I agree that we should invest more money into in depth sex education I do not belive that people whom did not recieve the proper education should be stuck with something that they not only might not be ready for but cant and wont be able to handle. Pushing on the weight of a child could lead to other issues including child abandonment along with orphaneges being overrun with children whom were forcefuly put onto the parents.

 @B9JXXVVPeace and Freedom from Washington  disagreed…5mos5MO

We as women get to decide how we treat our bodies, if we know we cant support ourselves nor with a child its best to get an abortion. People dont just make mistakes, its important to think before the consequences.

 @B9G8FR6 from Illinois  disagreed…6mos6MO

I think that schools should do a better job of showing all teenagers the importance of learning about sex so that everyone understands and can act right. There’s a lot of cases where abortion can be justified but people also need to be smarter and think before they do something.

 @B9HHQ9G from Georgia  disagreed…6mos6MO

I'm fully pro-choice and I believe there are many other factors that aren't just saving the life of the mother that I think should be considered. While I agree that sex education should be more in-depth, stuff happens and people will still make mistakes. In these situations, there are other things to take into account such as the parents' financial situation and if they will fully be responsible enough to raise a child.

 @B9GT4F8 from Missouri  disagreed…6mos6MO

Abortion is not solely because a woman doesn't want to become a parent. It can happen because a pregnancy becomes dangerous for the mother to continue to carry.

 @B9D53LD from Colorado  disagreed…6mos6MO

At blank weeks a fetus should not by any means considered a child, it can’t like breath or do anything on its own. the women should have the choice to end the pregnancy to help herself not be forced into a life long commitment that might end poorly for both

 @B9GHS7SIndependent from Nebraska  disagreed…6mos6MO

you cannot end abortion, only safe abortion. abortion is healthcare and someone shouldn’t be able to tell someone else what they can and can’t do. your religion doesn’t stop me from doing something, it should only stop you.

 @B9CVFHS from Maine  disagreed…6mos6MO

If a child gets raped she should have an abortion. She is way too young to be having a kid when it can affect the rest of her life negatively or even positively. If the mother can’t survive giving birth to the child’s think she should definitely be able to have an abortion. However if you simply just don’t want to be pregnant I’m not sure if an abortion should’ve justified. So yes I do agree with most of this paragraph.

 @B9H464VRepublican from Louisiana  disagreed…6mos6MO

I believe that a person who has been involved in rape, a life threatening situation, and an economic situation they should be able to have an abortion.

 @B9CZKL5Libertarian from Oregon  disagreed…6mos6MO

Bringing a child into a world where its parents are too young to raise a child, and not financially stable. It can lead to low income households, and not having the best outcome for the kid.

 @B9CYVR9from Montana  disagreed…6mos6MO

forcing somebody to go through pregnancy, give birth, and then raise a child is not a reasonable consequence of sex. a child shouldn’t be seen as punishment and being pregnant shouldn’t limit your bodily autonomy.

 @B9D43HL  from Illinois  agreed…6mos6MO

I mostly agree with him, especially about unprotected sex having consequences. However, I believe that the mother shouldn't be able to choose whether the baby lives or not. The mother had the chance to make a decision when she chose "unprotected sex" and it's already too late to switch up if the baby has already been conceived. But I do also believe in the rare cases where both the baby and the mother are at risk of death, than it's justified. Also, if a minor got pregnant from rape, they should have a choice whether to abort or not. But I believe that an adult should be able to give birth to the baby.

 @B9D455F from California  disagreed…6mos6MO

I argue that abortion is justified because it should be the mother’s choice whether not to give birth to the child, especially because the called child is actually fetus while growing in the uterus. I also agree with the fact that people shouldn’t just be handing out abortions, rather I think birth control is a better alternative unless absolutely necessary for an abortion in circumstances like S.A.

 @B9D4CCN from California  disagreed…6mos6MO

you know that episode where spongebob has to take care of the baby clam and how patrick has not helpful. yea yea thats what i thought

 @B9FW6TR  from Texas  disagreed…6mos6MO

My honest opinion about Abortion is that the decisions should be the Mother if she wants to than she has every right to abort the child
