Should the electoral college be abolished?
No, the electoral college ensures representation of the whole country instead of just major cities
It only does so by if we interpret the country not as its people, but as the land represented by arbitrarily drawn lines
There is no reason a person with the luck to be born in, or the resources to move to, a certain location to have a greater impact on national policies that affect everyone than anyone else. The United States was founded on principles of freedom and equality, and while flawed in their interpretation initially, should we not strive to improve that to provide those values to all?
