I agree with this statement the guns are not the problem it is the people using them there should be a list of people that can not buy these guns

 @B9NDDFPLibertarian from Ohio  disagreed…5mos5MO

guns dont kill people people do other peoples wrong doings should not effect the ability for me to own and purchase a firearm that being said trainng is key and i believe it is up to the owner to do the training themselves as its there responsibility

 @B9P6Y2L from California  disagreed…5mos5MO

Many gun incidents occur due to a lack of knowledge about the firearm, improper security, or outright mental illness. The background checks will help eliminate a certain amount of speculation but the testing and training will help us prevent mental incidents and further prevent incidents due to ignorance.

Although self-defense weapons are justified, the use of high-caliber weapons isn't self-defense; it is a plan to attack others liberty.

I agree that background checks, training, and testing will all help prevent incidents. But I don't think it goes far enough. Offsite locked storage of ammunition and even the weapons themselves would be a start, but the simple truth is that the "good guy with a gun" myth is just that, a myth. It's just trigger-happy people inventing scenarios in which they get to be the hero, and/or living out revenge fantasies. Every gun we remove from the streets objectively makes us safer.

Countries around the world have been implementing this and it works in both reducing gun crime and gun related death. American is too egotistical for its own benefit.

 @B9NG6K9No Labels from Minnesota  agreed…5mos5MO

Yes, we need more protection for guns. People should be allowed to buy guns, but only after intensive background checks. Many shooters have mental disorders. Why are they allowed to get guns?

 @B9MJ7FNPeace and Freedom from Texas  agreed…5mos5MO

I think there should be more restrictions on guns and I agree with this statement because I think people are not taking them serious and do not have the knowledge they need.

1: Background checks are insufficient and need to be used for the whole family
2: Mental illnesses can develop later on in life
3: Certain Mental illnesses can't be detected if one is careful
4: Training will help but there should be a yearly recertification test
5: There is a difference in buying a LR.22 or a armor piercing round bullet in firearms, they should be prohibited and only used in certain situations with certification

 @B9RBQLG from Oklahoma  disagreed…5mos5MO

Red Flag laws should be in place to prohibit the sale of firearms to individuals that are mentally unstable.

 @B9NJ4N2 from Illinois  disagreed…5mos5MO

The people who complain about gun control are the ones shooting? The mentally ill and those people care about them because they act like children and get them selfs shot by people who are pro gun, everyone who supports guns KNOWS how to use it, you get a safety class, if you need to train someone to buy a gun then they don’t need it they went thier whole life without learning. Don’t give them to the blue people, red people need guns, not crybaby’s who wear COVID’s masks in 26
