Anybody can do anything if they really want to
Sports are to have fun and grow, not to degrade people by their appearances.
I believe that if the youth wishes to make that decision, they should be allowed to, with some form of process to transition to the sport.

I think that it is unfair for transgender students to participate in the opposite gender's competition. I believe that it is ok for students to want to change their identity and that is fair, and their choice, but their choice taking away opportunities and fairness within sports, is unfair to the surrounding athletes.

If a male transitions to be a woman and competes in women's sports, they obviously have an unfair advantage due to the way men are. There is a physical advantage due to puberty and testosterone that males produce. Also this is a safety concern in some sports such as boxing because of the size difference in strength and overall body mass comparing a biological woman and a transgender woman.
