This is exactly why open markets and economic prosperity depend on political stability and peaceful relations. When conflict breaks out, capital flees—no amount of flash or business-friendly policies can overcome the fear of sudden violence. Dubai’s boom was always built on the promise of safety and predictability, and without that, investors will look elsewhere. If leaders want to keep attracting wealth, they need to focus on diplomacy and free exchange, not just shiny skyscrapers.

Maybe now the world will realize that no fortress of wealth built on immoral foundations is truly safe from the consequences of supporting oppressors and ignoring justice.

Honestly, this just proves what many of us have been saying for years—real stability in the region can’t exist as long as regimes like Iran are able to act with impunity. Dubai’s whole image as a “safe haven” was always a bit shaky, considering the neighborhood it’s in and the threats Israel faces daily. It’s telling that the world is so shocked by missiles in Dubai but expects Israelis to just live with it. Maybe now global investors will think twice about putting their money in places that don’t have real security and strong alliances with the West. Israel’s resilience and innovation stand out even more in moments like this.
