Yes I agree, too many "ordinary" citizens have access to guns in modern times. I understand that people want to feel safe and feel like they can protect themselves in their own home, but it would not hurt to make sure guns aren't going into the wrong hands.

 @BBWTXPG from Kansas  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree with this statement because if someone is not mental prepared to have a big responsibility of owning a gun then they should go through the measurement and requirements of the law.

 @BBWJMHT  from Maryland  agreed…4mos4MO

i agree with this statement to the fullest. I think we should take every precaution to keep destructive weapons out of sick peoples hands and i dont think the government is doing enough.

 @BBWSN32 from Virginia  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree with this statement, and I also think nobody should be allowed to have an automatic rifle or gun. I think everyone should be eligible for a handgun if there deemed mentally right.

 @BBWS3GZ from Maryland  agreed…4mos4MO

I believe and fully stand with this opinion, as many people have died in this country due to the recklessness of gun dealership, while businesses have not been held accountable.

 @BBWR95F from New York  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree, people buying a gun which can kill many should be looked into. I do not like the idea of anyone being able to have a gun.

 @BBWR4SQ from Connecticut  agreed…4mos4MO

I agree with this comment because I thought mental evaluation to people purchasing guns, they might have mental illnesses and be influenced to use the gun for violence.

 @BBWQXQJProgressive from New Jersey  agreed…4mos4MO

Yes. The process of obtaining a gun should be much harder than it is currently---people are getting a hold on such dangerous weaponry too easily and it's often fallen into the wrong hands.

 @BBWPLL2No Labels from West Virginia  agreed…4mos4MO

We should have background checks, a mental evaluation, and Id people when they try and buy a gun its to easy to buy one especially now this is why people get killed

 @BC37FPT from New York  agreed…3mos3MO

yes, I believe you should meet a very specific and certain criteria to be able to purchase a firearm

 @BBV2G2R from Arkansas  agreed…4mos4MO

I strongly agree with this background check. To help battle against crimes and prevent more casualties.

 @BBX574Y from Colorado  agreed…4mos4MO

Yes I agree that background checks should be more extensive for gun control, but guns should still be allowed for hunting.

 @BBX3F76 from Maryland  agreed…4mos4MO

I definitely agree with this because keeping people safe should be the most important thing. It makes sense that if you want to buy something as dangerous as a gun, you should have to prove you’re responsible first. Doing background checks and mental health evaluations is just a common-sense way to try and stop school shootings or other violence before it happens. It’s not about taking guns away from everyone; it’s just about making sure they don't end up in the hands of someone who wants to hurt people.

 @BBX2HH3 from Georgia  agreed…4mos4MO

Yes, only people who know and understand the risks of guns should be able to buy them. They should also be checked for mental illness or anything that could cause an outburst.

 @BBWZMWL from Pennsylvania  agreed…4mos4MO

Clearly, it's too easy to get access to a gun when looking at recent school shootings, domestic violence cases, and gang violence.

 @BBWWXF4 from Washington  agreed…4mos4MO

Gun violence isn't good or fine, as a student I feel like I am afraid to go to school because there might be a shooting.
