I agree with this statement. Checking the history of an individual *and their mental health would help decrease the cases of gun violence in the United States.

 @BCQ6LC4 from California  agreed…3mos3MO

I just don't believe gun violence is right and is constantly increasing that must be controlled and contained, but it is our second amendment and I do believe you may be allowed to own a gun for your own safe weather it is at home kept safe or somewhere where it is placed out of reach due to temptation

 @BCTN7Q8 from Arizona  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree that a more thorough check on a person's background is needed if someone is buying a gun or weapon of the sorts.

 @BCQGS5X  from California  agreed…3mos3MO

If someone had no criminal record or warning signs, then even stricter background checks wouldn’t have flagged them—so expanding the system doesn’t necessarily solve that kind of case.

 @BCV6PQX  from Texas  agreed…2mos2MO

I completely agree that there needs to be stricter laws and regulation over gun control because it is way too easily accessible as of now.

 @BCRRCNX from Michigan  agreed…3mos3MO

I do agree with this comment. Before being allowed a gun, they should do background checks on the person to make sure they are using it for the right reasons.

 @BCQ6BY5 from Oregon  agreed…3mos3MO

I agree with this because anyone can commit a violent act, so maybe we should add a mental evaluation so people wont be a risk to people.

 @BCQ4X2Q from Missouri  agreed…3mos3MO

I agree. They should have lots of background checks to make sure the person is completely okay to own the gun and won't do anything irrational.

 @BCQ3J7V from Georgia  agreed…3mos3MO

I agree, even if a person is mentally stable they still could have bad intentions of hurting someone.

 @BCSQF2Q from Minnesota  agreed…2mos2MO

I agree, stricter laws need to be implemented, as well as mandatory classes educating potential buyers on gun violence.

 @BCQTJWB from Illinois  disagreed…3mos3MO

I agree, keeping weapons, more specifically firearms, should be kept away from violent criminals and reinforcing background checks as wells as a three day waiting period on the purchase of a firearm, but I understand why many people have opposite opinions on the accessibility of firearms; its important to remember guns dont kill people, people kill people.

 @BCTNDXD from Arizona  agreed…2mos2MO

I think we shouldn´t be allowed to have guns because it is a big problem in the United State.There are so much death every year due to gun violences.

 @BCQB3F3Democrat from California  agreed…3mos3MO

I agree with this statement 100%. American Citizens should not have to worry about any ill-advised person gaining control of a gun. More secure background checks are needed, as a gun being brought in by the wrong person, can cause chaos within our nation, as shown in recent history.

 @BCQ3MP6 from Georgia  agreed…3mos3MO

If they were completely mentally competent they wouldn't have killed someone through gun violence. Definitely increase background checks, though.

 @BCRZZ99agreed…3mos3MO

If anyone wants a gun they should have to take a test and basically shows if your want to do anything bad with the gun

 @BCQ874H from Wisconsin  agreed…3mos3MO

there should be 10x more background checks on people. if they had any crimes no guns above a .22 caliber should be issued.

 @BCQ84N2Socialist from Iowa  agreed…3mos3MO

period, I agree 100%. a lot of the people who commit gun violence don't seem "insane" or rather the idea people have of that. a lot of people are also just way too irresponsible to own a gun

 @BCQ3NY7 from Missouri  agreed…3mos3MO

I agree with this background checks should be implemented because, gun violence is more caused by mentally unstable people.

 @BCS9RC9Progressive from Wisconsin  agreed…3mos3MO

Yes I agree. Guns are relatively dangerous and shouldn't even be sought as a collectors item unless antique. More gun laws should be in place to protect the innocent.

 @BCSV9SN from Kentucky  agreed…2mos2MO

gun violence has became to comman and has became a joke to teens and young kids with kids playing with guns and hurting/killing each other and adults providing and going after each other or kids with gun and I my have lost a freeing to teenagers being recklace with guns thing they are a joke and a toy when they hold life or death in that machain
