I agree with this comment as I think there should be major changes on how to get a gun and the access to do so. Because just a license isn't going to cut it for too long.

I agree with the goal behind that statement: owning a firearm is a serious responsibility, and it makes sense to require people to understand safety, legal consequences, and proper handling. Basic steps like background checks, safety training, and secure storage expectations seem reasonable to me.

Where I start to disagree is the idea of a “comprehensive evaluation of character and mindset.” That sounds good, but it’s very hard to do fairly in real life. Once you move into judging someone’s personality or beliefs, it becomes subjective—and that can lead to bias or inconsistent decisions. Rights shouldn’t depend on whether an evaluator personally “feels” someone is fit.

I agree fully. Guns are necessary and a right to have but as time goes on, altercations to rules and qualifications should change.

 @BCQQWSD from Illinois  agreed…3mos3MO

I agree with this arguement, because i believe people who are not mentally well should be screened before the purchase and logged incase of a crime.

The ownership firearms should be criminalized, but so should it for all the bourgeoisie above the proletariat.

 @BCRP6WZ from California  agreed…3mos3MO

I agree with this situation as someone who doesn't understand the horrors and trauma that occurs from misuse of gun ownership shouldn't be allowed to own a firearm.

I agree. It's so easy to end someone's life with a gun that many don't think it though. Guns endanger everyone, including students, children, and adults.

I do agree with this statement because there have been to many deaths in our country because someone was able to buy a gun and take their anger on someone.

 @BCQFZC9 from Ohio  agreed…3mos3MO

I agree. There aren't enough regulations about guns because people are too scared to lose something they like, even at the expense of peoples lives.

 @BCRX6CT from Pennsylvania  disagreed…3mos3MO

U.S. citizens have a second amendment right that cannot be taken away or altered. This is something we have a right to. I believe that we have a right to own what we want and maybe instead of forcing that goal focus on making sure the person in possession is not mentally-ill instead.

 @BCQGWQ8 from California  agreed…3mos3MO

I agree we shouldn’t be stripping people of their gun rights but rather implement more in-depth evaluations concerning the individual looking to purchase or possess a gun

 @BCQFN8V from Connecticut  agreed…3mos3MO

Yes, I believe that more steps should be taken, like psychological tests in order to predict their intentions.

 @BCQQCD4No Labels from California  agreed…3mos3MO

Yes there should be stricter gun ownership because most of these people buy guns for different reasons but if there family or the person buying the gun has a bad background shouldn't be allowed to own a gun at all. Because you might be putting everyone in danger.

 @BCQLMFH from Indiana  agreed…3mos3MO

Guns are a huge problem in the United States. We need them out of the hands of mentally unstable people.

 @BCV7XVX from Wyoming  agreed…2mos2MO

Yes their should be, people who shouldn't have guns still somehow end up with guns and it puts everyone in danger.

 @BCS7687 from Pennsylvania  agreed…3mos3MO

Yes there should be a stricter gun ownership for everyone. Oftentimes in popular cities gun violence is an immense problem. A stricter gun ownership program would reduce gun violence and cause out country to become safer all around.
