I agree that this is a valid point. However, though I am not a gun owner or plan to be, I don't agree taking that right away from others and with banning guns entirely.

There should be a limit because it is not just the criminal or mentally ill person that would have bad intentions with guns.

I do not agree. Yeah sure any can go bad, but we should be able to limit it. At least automatic weapons, there is no real reason an average citizen should have automatic weapons.

There should be immense background checks and many people should be limited from owning guns. However, the 2nd amendment still exists and people still have a right to a firearm if they meet the standards of owning one

I agree, I think guns should be banned for everyone with of course exceptions for police, hunting, etc.

The risk of violent gun crime to be commited by a law following and mentally sane citizen is next to zero.
