I totally understand where you are coming from here, and I agree that the electoral college is not a great system

I would like to add that the benefits of including a ranked voting system would be to create a less divided country by breaking the two party system.

Breaking the two party system is not a good idea personally you just need reform in the government to identify power abusing leaders.
